Rachel Jarrold-Grapes

I am an Economist in the Antitrust Division of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Economics. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Syracuse University's Maxwell School in 2022

Broadly, my research focuses on the economics of education. I am particularly interested in how different public policies affect students. My current work includes research on how the legalization of recreational marijuana impacts underage marijuana use, student achievement, and behavioral outcomes. I also have some work on the relationship between teacher pension policy and teacher shortages.
